American Airlines today announced that that it has teamed up with oneworld® members – British Airways and Iberia – to offer special savings from the United States to cities throughout Europe. American also announced significant savings on travel between the United States and cities throughout the Caribbean, Bermuda, Mexico, Latin America, and Asia.

Tickets for these special fares must be purchased by Sept. 5, and travel to all destinations except Europe must take place between Sept. 1 and Dec. 15. Travel to Europe must take place between Sept. 1 and May 15, 2012. Other restrictions apply.

Low fares starting at $79* to/from the Bay Area, $219* to/from Anchorage and Seattle

SEATTLE, Aug. 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Alaska Airlines launched a sale today with low fares throughout Alaska, the contiguous United States and Canada. One-way fares start at $79* between Oakland, Calif., and Seattle and $219* between Anchorage, Alaska, and Seattle.

Tickets require a 14-day advance purchase and must be bought by Aug. 29 for travel starting Sept. 7 from the contiguous United States and Canada, and starting Sept. 27 from the state of Alaska.
