I have never been on a Disney Cruise but have heard great things about it. This is something I hope to do with the boys but want to wait unitl they are a little bit older.
You have brought back memories of our cruise with Disney. My husband and I were always avid cruisers. We didný cruise for a few years after oir son was born. When he was 4, we took to the seas again. This cruise was everything we could hope for especially the children’s program which gave my husband and I some quality time. Our son adored the daily programs in the lab, which are educational and had enough variety that he could not wait to go the next day. It was truly a magical cruise for all!

So how much does a disney cruise run on average? I am thinking of taking a cruise.
The Disney Cruise Line is more expensive than most lines. As I mentioned, it was my then 5 year olds 1st cruise. To give an example, we were on an NCL cruise this summer in Western Europe. The Disney Cruise was also. We could have taken NCL for 3 weeks for 1 week to Disney. When we were on the Disney Cruise it was very unique with it´s children´s program, but now many of the other lines took notice and have comparable activities and camps for children. They were the innovator and original but others are just as good.
Tater03, your boys would just love going on a cruise! It’s really not as expensive as most people think, because when you add all the food & activities you end up spending on a vacation, taking a cruise will come up cheaper.
And they’ll just absolutely love it!
Travelforever, thanks for sharing your cruise memories with us!
I think one of my most fondest memories of Mickey Mouse was also on a cruise, and they had that little impromptu dance at the deck with all the other Disney characters….. That’s when I just wanted to be like them
It’s quite magical actually.
3Plus3, you can go to http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/home/home?name=HomePage&bhcp=1 to check out the rates. They have a great online booking system that can get you a quote for your trip.
Just a little tip – for family cruises, it is always better to book at least a year in advance. That is when you will get the best rates on the good cabins.
And if you are still unsure if you want to take a Disney Cruise, you can always order a free Disney Cruise Planning Kit at http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/vpk/landing?name=eBrochureLandingPage
TravelForever, Disney Cruise Lines were the first in bringing on the best children’s programs in cruising. And you are right, Princess and RCL I think also have come up with their own equally unique concepts.
But, there is still the allure of what’s Disney that is unbeatable to kids of all ages.
Thank you for the links. I will definently check them out. I agree that the boys would have a blast. I don’t mind paying a little more for a once in a lifetime expeirence with the boys. And that is what I think it would be.
