Air Flights Price War – New York To London For As Low As $79 One Way
This means folks, that if you have been postponing getting on a cruise to the Mediterranean or Northern Europe because of the extra cost of flight, now is the time to get on the phone and have a chat with your travel agent because at these rates, you never know how long they are going to last. The trans-atlantic air price war for flights between New York to London has been instigated by Zoom, a canadian based air carrier currently competing against British Airways and Virgin for the 42,000 passengers that fly between the two cities each week.
Just as an example, I did a search on Zoom’s Website for fares departing on August 30th and returning September 9th, the results gave me one way rates of $199. I then went to Travelocity to see if any of their partner airlines could beat this awesome deal, and the best they could do was $793 return. That’s $395 in your pocket to spend on your cruise holiday! Oh, and if you are looking for last minute flights to take to get to your last minute cruise, Zoom is offering rates as low as $79 for one way flights departing within a week.

It should be interesting to see what happens in 2008. The open sky´s agreement between the EU members and the US begin at the and of March and should be very cut throat in prices. Be prepared to pack your suitcase because the low cost carriers will be arriving and departing!
